New Features

• More ways to Filter
  • You can now Filter by Tag on your Launchpad! Just tap the Action Menu in the top right corner, then tap “Show Tag Filters”. This is great for focusing on a single subset of Spaces/Lists at a time.
  • Stuff now automatically supports filtering by included data on your tasks. Have some tasks with phone numbers, or websites, or YouTube videos? You can quickly filter out all of those different types simply using the existing Filter menu.
  • Repeating tasks shown on Upcoming now react to filters
  • Improved tag filtering logic for Headings
• Dragging / Dropping
  • Dragging tasks is now supported on Upcoming, so you can easily plan out and organize different days simply by dragging and dropping
  • You can now use drag and drop to drop external text and URLs onto Stuff to create tasks. Try dragging an email into Stuff to automatically link back to it!
• Support for Undo / Redo
  • Implemented undo/redo functionality across most task operations:
    • Status changes, trash/archiving, moving tasks and lists
    • Deadlines, plans, tags, dependencies, repeating patterns
    • Tag filtering options
  • Includes refactoring of UndoRegistrar to use delegates and prevent cascading additions
• Stuff now fully supports multiple windows on iPad! Great for viewing multiple lists at once, or tracking different projects - all on the same screen. You can also drag tasks between different windows for deeper organization ability.
• Stuff is much, much more performant than before. Even long lists with hundreds of tasks should display instantly. No more hang times when opening big lists!

Smaller Features

• Chipcards updates
  • New designs for the Repeating and Teammates chipcards to bring them inline with other design patterns for all other chipcards.
  • New keyboard shortcuts on all Chipcards! Use Escape or Return to save and exit, or Cmd-X to remove the value and dismiss the card.
• Quick Actions updates
  • You can now search for Repeating tasks through Quick Actions
  • You can now search for any page in Settings directly via Quick Actions
  • You can now search for things like the Stuff Changelog, Documentation, and Roadmap in Quick Actions
• Today Card updates
  • You can now tap on individual Tasks on the Today Card to navigate to them
  • You can now add Tasks directly from the Today Card, and they’ll automatically be assigned both a Plan for Today and any other contextual information (based on what list you’re viewing, what tags are being filtered, etc.)
• Accessibility Updates
  • Over the next several updates, you’ll see that Stuff will receive more and more Accessibility updates that make it fully usable for all Doers. In this update, Stuff will automatically utilize Reduce Motion in your Accessibility Settings to reduce the in-app animations if enabled. Stuff also adapts colors in the app for greater visual access. Thanks for your patience! I’m really excited to continue to push out more Accessibility support.
• An updated design for List and Space dividers (thanks for the feedback, sparkling!)
• You can now tap on the “Recovered” callout when recovering an item from the trash to navigate to it
• Tapping on a task to go to it from a widget now opens the task in the context of that widget (e.g. rather than always generically going to the task’s list, it’ll now show the task in Today, Deadlines, etc., based on your widget) (thanks, Sophia!)
• Stuff now supports displaying 24 hour time as per your device settings (thanks for the feedback, wheeskeey!)
• Updated sorting logic such that tasks for Today now show up at the top of the list, followed by Anytime, followed by Planned, etc.
• The task hole punch is now available on expanded tasks, allowing you to trash a task, select it, or perform actions (call the phone number, search the flight) on it while expanded
• You can now add tasks that are already completed or cancelled (just interact with the checkbox when adding a task)

Blips

• Fixed a blip where attempting to export from some views wouldn’t work, and enable exporting from more views (and Lists and Headings now export all their metadata such as their Plan and Tags, just like tasks do)
• Fixed a blip where Sorting multiple sections sometimes had unexpected behavior
• Fixed a blip in sorting where dependent tasks would sometimes appear above available tasks
• Fixed a blip where hitting “Clear” on the List Chipcard would sometimes put an Inbox task into No List (thanks, Mike!)
• Replaced an old design for a Chip for Someday on Headings
• Fixed a blip where attempting to Export Tasks would not always use the tasks from the current view
• Fixed a blip that would never allow you to add a Space while currently showing a Space (iPad only)
• Fixed a blip where the Daily Note sometimes wouldn’t save when dismissing the Today Card
• Fixed a blip that didn't allow rapid re-navigation to Settings
• Fixed a blip where date section sorting on Upcoming was unpredictable
• Fixed a blip that sometimes left an account in a locked state and unable to sign out
• Standardized when Sorting is/isn’t available from both the Action Menu and the Menu Bar
• Fixed a blip that sometimes showed unrelated tasks in Adventure Log (thanks, Mostafa for bringing this to my attention!)
• Fixed a blip where the List Completed stamp wouldn’t always show as soon as the list was completed
• Fixed a blip where re-opening to your last view created some unexpected navigation behavior on iPad
